I bought my new camera only 48 hours before I got on the plane. I had one week in Israel, one in Palestine. Coming from Istanbul, Tel Aviv meant fresh air, for me although I ended up losing some kilos under the hot, Middle Eastern sun. I loved how people got rid of their clothes right after they were done with work, walking straight to the beach in Old Jaffa. In Palestine, things felt different, yet it was the beauty of these lands and people I still remember the most. The light there really was something else. In its starkness I found a different kind of tranquility, and it shocked me.
