Dubai, the ultimate playground of excess, the land of the endless rich. Dubai is artificial, but not artistic. It was built out of nothing, it is a construct, this luxurious sand metropolis, a mistake by nature almost, excessive material fatigue, leading us towards a contrasting fascination. A slightly dystopian feeling, the city looks like a sci-fi movie, often empty, too clean and isolated. It's strange, though, how, in spite of all the madness, somewhere in-between the innumerable sand dunes and phallus-like buildings, one can also find the kindest, most intimate moments, rare scenes of humanity.
