A vision by Marco Barbieri
Seoul is an uncontainable multinodal organism, defying any attempt of definition. It is incapable of functioning in any linear or autonomous state, it is chaotic and eclectic: An ephemeral and fragmented discontinuity in which tradition and postmodern phenomena simultaneously coexist. There reigns a global heterogeneity wherein we found peace and liberation. It promised us power, joy, growth, transformation of both ourselves and the world, and at the same time threatens to destroy everything we have, everything we know, and everything we are.

Marco is an Italian/Czech photographer based in London. He has a keen interest on how urbanism, politics and religion and up shaping the lives of the people. He is interested in documenting how these forces affect the daily routine of the population and how, at the same time, life inevitably tends to go on as usual. This brought him to countries that do not exist (Nagorno-Karabakh), Islamic republics (Iran) and saw him embarking on a journey to a missing sea in Uzbekistan. He works with medium format film and digital.
