Fly Black Bird is a Portuguese brand, created by graphic designer Pedro Falcão in 2013. The company started by creating unique boards, which are designed, painted and built by hand, but has since evolved to produce t-shirts, bags, fins of all kinds, surfboard bags and recently also books. The manufacturing of their objects is a slow and accurate process and each are produced from the finest materials available on the market, in limited quantities. The level of aesthetic and skill developed by Pedro and his team sets a particularly high standard of work as it continues to contribute to the community of surfers in Portugal and abroad.

More than a Surfboard is more than just the title of Fly Black Bird’s first publication; it has become a kind of slogan for the company itself, as its founders began to expand its products line beyond boards to cater to surf culture as whole, not just surfboards.
